Wednesday, October 17th – Tuesday, October 23th
This was another busy and exciting week. The crew finished all of the rough framing and we’re ready to move onto the next phase.
The framing has been the most rewarding part of the build to date. It’s where everything starts to feel real. We’re still a long way from the finish line, but we finally have a house and can stop referring to it as “the lot” or “the basement”.
We have a feeling that the next few weeks will bring progress that has less of a visual impact. I had hoped that the roof would have been started before I published this but you’ll have to wait until the next update. Things like radon mitigation and HVAC won’t be giving us the warm fuzzies, but look for those updates next week as well.
