Upcoming weather forecast: clouds, rain, and thunderstorms. The second week of our build hasn’t seen much progress.
After the forms for the basement walls were moved off site on day 8, we were excited to see what would take shape next.
Would the basement floor get poured?
Would we start to see walls go up?
I don’t know if the weather forecast halted progress or if it was something else entirely. Whatever the reason, we’re pretty bummed to not have anything exciting and new to share. Just those fancy I beams that appeared on day 14.
We do know that things won’t happen overnight, and we’re trying to manage our expectations, but after an exciting first week we were definitely hoping for more.
In the meantime, we’re content looking at lighting and plumbing fixtures, furniture, and daydreaming of what it will be like when it’s all done.
